Great Engagement Photos

One week from now I will be driving with my Mom, Grandma and Brassy Bear to the island. It is FINALLY wedding planning time! I cannot wait. We have so many meetings with different people that will be involved in our wedding as well as some fun spa days and hiking trips planned. While Kent and I are relaxing during our second week on the island, we will have our engagement photos taken so I've been searching the internet for pics I love! Here are a few from Vue Photography, Southern Weddings and more.

I can't wait to finally meet my photographer, Em from M Photography.  She is based out of Stevens Point Wisconsin and is making the trek to the island for our engagement photos (and hopefully a little R&R as well).  So excited!

P.S. I have been so busy on my last few weeks of inpatient pediatrics that I didn't have time to post on Thursday, JUNE 9TH!!! But that was officially the one year countdown point for our wedding! Yay. Unfortunately the high temperature on Washington Island that day was somewhere in the low 50's, but the day prior to that was 80, so maybe God will bless our wedding with warm weather!

Amazing Taupe, White and Pink Wedding!!!

My cousin gave me a heads up about an AMAZING wedding posted on Southern Weddings Blog today.  The photographer his Paul Johnson, and he did a phenomenal job! My favorite part of this wedding other than the colors...the bridesmaid dresses are my FAVE - LulaKate!

Truly a beautiful wedding!!!

Abrupt Change of Wedding Plans!

So this weekend was amazing, because I BOUGHT MY DRESS!!! I found my dress at the first store...piece of cake.  Mom bawled when the consultant put a veil on with me wearing the dress and that was the end, purchased.  I will say I did a LOT of research prior to dress shopping and the only clue to what my dress looks like is that it is posted in this blog already.  I LOVE IT!

At the next store, Bella Bridesmaid, I finally got to see the Lula Kate dresses I have been lusting after in person.  Unfortunately, I didn't love the blues and greens as I had hoped.  Instead I fell in love with a taupe/champagne colored dress that I had seen in a picture and also previously posted on this blog! Once we adjusted our dress color away from greens and blues, I realized I could FINALLY have my pink peony bouquet as I walked down the aisle.  My fate was sealed - a taupe and white wedding with pink accents.  I have to admit that I should have seen this coming months ago when I started painting multiple rooms in my home beige and taupe shades with white accents, but I did not.  I am so excited about these color changes.  Here are some photos of ideas I love:
