Three more days of work until I meet my mom, sister and grandma in Orlando to try on wedding dresses for the first time! I am so excited. This wedding still feels like such a dream, probably because it is so far away, that I cannot wait to finally feel like a bride while trying on my wedding dress. I have been looking at pictures for a while now and clearly I have some plainer tastes than most brides when looking at wedding dresses. Here are some dresses I've loved - you'll notice multiple different styles as I am trying to keep my options wide open.
I cannot wait! Who knows what I will like, I just know it has to be white..."NO IVORY" was Kent's only request.

Congratulations to Megan & John
Congrats to Megan and John as we celebrated their engagement last night at a lovely engagement party hosted by Megan's family friend.
Kent and I had a super busy weekend, traveling to Jacksonville to visit the family and watch a rainy day at The Players golf tourney, then hustling back to Gainesville for John and Megan's party. We relaxed today and celebrated Todd's birthday (one of Kent's groomsmen and my BFF). Overall great weekend.
With the weekend's festivities, I promised Megan that I would post some "pink" stuff that I had saved in her honor. Here it is:

Not Blogging Enough!
I got told I was not blogging enough after seeing some girlfriends this weekend, so I will try to be better. This past week was the best ever! I worked in the pediatric emergency department (aka the ER) and I loved it! I was happy to get out of bed Sunday morning at 6am to go to work if that tells you how great it was. Then today I received the Bythewood and Baker Memorial Scholarship Award for Women Medical Students, which is scholarship awarded each year to an outstanding female student.
As for excited wedding things, I signed a contract with a photographer this week. We will have our engagement photos taken this summer while we are in Wisconsin. I also have a florist and a rental company that I am super psyched about. These crazy wedding ideas are starting to come together. My cousin posted this Tara Guerard wedding in my honor on her blog, and I fell in love with it. It has inspired many ideas for my wedding!
It is awesomely gorgeous!!! Thank you Kelli for figuring out my wedding before I could! Love you!

Birthdays!
Kent and I just celebrated our birthdays! His was the 13th and mine was yesterday, St. Patty's Day. We had friends over to grill out for his birthday and then went out for green beer with some of our friends for my bday last night. Kent requested an oreo ice cream cake for his birthday, which got me thinking about wedding cakes!
Here's a few looks I love:

Trauma Surgery and Pastels
I have had an awesome first week of trauma surgery full of motor vehicle accidents, gun shot wounds and more. I cannot even begin to explain the excitement I get when my trauma pager goes off and I get to head down to the trauma unit of the emergency room, gown up and get ready for our patient to arrive. It is truly an adrenaline rush. We had quite a few trauma alerts this week as well as some elective surgeries. I cut out someone's appendix yesterday laparoscopically, which was awesome! On my day off, I did some wedding work. I finally started contacting vendors and looking at dresses, both bridesmaids and bridal. I'm considering a change in wedding colors, since I'm so far out, I figure its safe to change a little- nothing drastic- just adding a little pastel color action. Maybe this change is because I have only seen myself in pale blue scrubs in the last week!!!
Anyway here is a navy and green weddings that I love from the Vue:
This is another navy blue and green wedding from Southern Weddings Magazine!
Love it! Got to head to bed since waking up at 4:30 isn't easy!
